6 AWARDS GIVEN AT FICCALI 2020
The V SALÓN DE PRODUCORES Y PROJECTS CINEMATOGRÁFICOS FICCALI 2020 is a TRAINING AND STRENGTHENING event for emerging film projects in Valle del Cauca, Colombia and Latin America. It is developed through training sessions that provide negotiation, project presentation and marketing tools with the aim of promoting participating producers to an internationally competitive audiovisual market environment.


Elevador Films has participated in the Hall of Producers and Cinematographic Projects of FICCALI 2020 since its first version and today, for the fifth consecutive year, in the V edition of the Hall of Producers and Cinematographic Projects of FICCALI 2020, 6 awards were awarded for 3 feature films Fiction and 3 Documentary feature films as a result of the support for Latin American cinema and the Salon's effort to strengthen film production at a national and international level.

A total of 6 prizes were awarded for projects from different Latin American countries between URUGUAY, BRAZIL, COLOMBIA AND SPAIN

URUGUAY
Pedro, a lonely and hypochondriac man travels to a small town to reunite with his daughter after
long years of absence. Roam the streets behind
of his daughter, but he does not approach her. He spies on her and waits for her.
Try to recognize it from afar. Ramona is an explosive preteen who fills him with pride and dread. Pedro makes excuses to delay the meeting. When it arrives, it is anticlimactic and with little ceremony, as love is so often.

René, is Brazilian, a hotel receptionist on the night shift and complements his income with extra jobs to pay his 6-year-old son's pension. Copi, is an Argentine amateur artist who makes a living at night in Balneario Camboriú as a transvestite. The two paths cross and an unlikely friendship is born as quickly as it is interrupted. René is the only affective bond that Copi had and ends up responsible for giving some kind of meaning to his death.

AKINTE'S WONDERFUL JOURNEY

It is the story of Akinte, a 16-year-old young man from Chocó who lives in a village on the Atrato River. One day his grandmother fell ill and Akinte tried to find help, but failed, because there is no one in the town who knows the evil that has befallen him. With no alternatives, the young man sets out on a journey through Chocó, searching for the elderly Vigorio, a healer famous for creating miraculous ointments.
